Norton is a constituency in the province of Mashonaland West, Zimbabwe. It is located about 40 km west of Harare on the main road and railway line connecting Harare and Bulawayo. The farmlands surrounding the constituency produce a range of crops including tobacco, maize and wheat, and cattle rearing for the beef and dairy industries are also an important element of the local economy. From the 1960s onward, a large pulp and paper mill, a brewery, and several factories were established in the town. Mining is also a major economic activity in the constituency as it is practiced across 3 rural wards.
Hon Temba Peter Mliswa first won the Norton constituency seat in 2016 by election. He is the current member of parliamnent having won another election in 2018. Hon Mliswa has managed to run and complete a number of programs in the constituency. As a decorated hard-worker he has done enough to bring the corporate community together with people as seen through the increased rate at which companies are taking part in social responsibility activities.
